"The Pulp & Paper Industry has long faced tremendous change in its business logics during the last decade (and half). To make change, we have to make room for change" says Googolian Dariush Ghatan, whom will participate in a panel at the PPT Seminar March 25th in Stockholm.
PPT, The Swedish Pulp & Paper Technology Group, has its priorities in environmental concerns, energy conservation, productivity increases and quality control. It is an association founded for the promotion of Swedish technology for the pulp and paper industry. The members work to support the industry globally.
"Through the various cases we have worked on with Innventia, we have seen that fantastic opportunities are dormant in this industry. We believe the time is right to evaluate these on many levels when it comes to business as well as strategically value building. Opportunities are to be found in business model development, process innovation as well as within for instance product development. One obstacle is the often heavy route to reaching commercial traction, something that we at Googol and Innventia have focused on heavily. Getting closer to the customer is core and we even have a program for this", continues Dariush Ghatan. "We just need to continue to add a little more "C" into the R&D." -C stands for Commercialization [editors comment]
