HSS to incubate for childrens right to play
2010-01-12We are again happy to see the development of Hugo Stenbeck's Stiftelse's work towards the better life for children. Today the Kinnevik group of companies announced the start of a project to support social entrepreneurs. Having participated in the early foundation of these ideas, we are hopeful, thankful, helpful and playfully awaiting the further development.
Metro, Tele2, MTG, Transcom, Korsnäs, Kinnevik and Hugo Stenbeck's Stiftelse all participate in this new innovative way of supporting the children of our world, in a project led by Sara Damber.
"We believe that in the legacy of the Kinnevik spirit, supporting social entrepreneurs will create significant activity and results. Entrepreneurs first hurdle is rarely monetary support, both rather managerial and networking. When innovative minds, like those hosted within the Kinnevik group, comes together, we are bound to see things happen" says Dariush Ghatan.
Googol has supported Hugo Stenbecks Stiftelse and Saras work during the formation and initial phase of the "play" focused development. Apart from this we support social entrepreneurs with our skills, network, time and our ideas, since our foundation in 1999.
In our support portfolio as of today, we host 3 active projects and we advice 5-6 more, says Dariush Ghatan. One of our core values (Wow) stipulates that we all must have the wow factor at work. Googols engagements in supporting social entrepreneurs certainly gives us access to a lot of Wow! Dariush continues.
