Innovation for sustainability

2009-10-26
Googol participates in a technology transfer project with Umbilical Design, JIBS- Jönköpings International Business School and ESA- European Space Agency. The aim is to find new sustainable products and solutions derived from space technology research.

"Historically we have seen many interesting technologies developed for space, transferred to businesses for further development and commercialization" says Umbilical Design CEO and founder Cecilia Hertz.

Googol now participates in a project initially financed by Tillväxtverket, in aim to find technologies and solutions to be adopted by Swedish corporations in development for sustainable products and solutions.

"To us, participating in projects where we utilize existing assets in developing commercially viable products is what we do on a daily basis. Participating in a technology transfer project for sustainable solutions is vital and core to us" says Googolian Dariush Ghatan. "We are also very happy to collaborate with JIBS as well as Umbilical" continues Dariush.

The expected projects vary from finding energy efficient solutions for construction and housing to solutions around sustainable living and water use, explains Cecilia in today’s article in Dagens Industri (Swedish), enclosed.
