Fruits and Bare Necessities

We are inspired by the tremendous work, talent and skills the artist Hans Isaksson has put into the piece titled “Still # 6” that you see in the right column. The pice presents a pile of exotic fruit stacked straight as a line on top of each other up till the height of a man. It is not until the viewer comes close to the work that the material used, bronze, and the fantastic paint-job becomes clear. Hans Isaksson remains a good friend, admired artist and valued advisor.

We draw reference to the fun way of picking fruit introduced by Baloo, the bear in Rudyard Kiplings novel dramatized by Disney. Now is it really that easy? Or does it take skills that only few are blessed with? We ask ourselves this on a daily basis when working.

Fruit, one of natures many wonders. Feeds many and fills a very important role in the eco-system. Filled with vitamins and taste and so ingeniously designed. When treasures are found, they should be harvested before they are over-riped. They should not be stored and spoiled. Here at Googol, we identify and pick the low-hanging fruits.
